Ingredients used in ChatPat Salad
• Radish (grated) - 1 number.
• Carrot (grated) - 1 number.
• Garlic (chopped) - 3 cloves.
• Green bell pepper (chopped) - 1 number.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Cucumber (chopped) - 1 number.
• Curry leaves (chopped) - 1 springs.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/4 bunch.
• Lime - 1 number.
• Ground nut - 1 tea spoon.
• Roasted chana dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Olive oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Tomato (chopped) - 1 number.
Method:
  • Grate radish, carrot, keep aside, chop garlic, green bell pepper, onions, cucumber, curry leaves, coriander leaves, lime and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan, add peanuts, roasted chana dal, cumin seeds, toss it, add olive oil and saute well.
  • Now add the grated radish,sauteit, also add the grated carrot, sprinkle salt, saute well, turn off the flame, add curry leaves, coriander leaves, chopped green bell pepper, onion, cucumber, squeeze a lemon, mix well, transfer to a serving bowl and top it with chopped tomatoes.

Healthy and tastychatpat salad is now ready to serve.

Recipe of Chat Pat Salad – Indian Way:

Ingredients:

Radish, grated                                            -        1 no

Carrots, grated                                           -        2-3 nos

Capsicum, cut into cubes                        -        1-2 nos

Cucumber, cut into cubes                        -        1 no

Onions, cut into slices                             -        1 no

Fried Channa Dal                                     -        1 tbsp

Garlic, finely chopped                              -        3-4 cloves

Peanuts                                                        -        2 tbsp

Olive oil                                                       -        2 tbsp

Lemon juice                                                -        1/2 lime

Cumin seeds                                                -        ¼ tsp

Curry leaves                                                 -        1-2 sprigs

Coriander leaves, chopped                      -        1 bunch

Salt                                                                 -        to taste 

Directions:

  1. Take one radish, carrot and grate. Finely chopped garlic and keep aside.
  2. Cut green bell peppers, cucumber into cubes. Slice onions and keep aside.
  3. Finely chop coriander leaves.
  4. In a pan, add in the peanuts, fried channa dal, cumin seeds and olive oil and sauté well.
  5. Add grated radish, carrot, garlic and mix. Sprinkle some salt to taste and switch of the flame.
  6. Add curry and coriander leaves, bell pepper, cucumber and lemon juice and toss once.
  7. Transfer on a plate and serve.
