Wholesome Pulao or  Vegetable pulao is an all-time favorite to many especially the kids as it has no elaborate curries and rotis. It’s easy to carry, delicious and stomach filling. This is a dish that is healthy with all the right vitamins, nutrients and minerals. This dish is made with aromatic long grains cooked with mixed healthy vegetables and spices. It is an excellent dish that can be served during parties and events. This pulao is a fantastic dish, mildly spiced, rice cooked with a variety of vegetables that includes capsicum, carrot, spring onion, cabbage and French beans.

Rice, edible starchy grain. A cereal grain, Rice is a seed of grass species. Half of the world’s population subsists wholly or partially on rice.  White rice and Brown rice are world’s wide production. It plays major role in many dishes like biryani (with fish, meat, egg), fried rice, bread, soups, veg rice, curd rice, rice payasam and many more. South Indian meal is incomplete without rice. Known by many name like chili pepper, bell pepper, red or green pepper, this vegetable is used as spice, medicine and vegetable. Capsicums are cooked, grilled, baked, boiled and roasted. Though this veggie is available throughout the year, they are most abundant and tasty during the summer and early fall months. While the red ones seems to be more commonly found in North India, you can find the orange ones in the South of India. Carrots are used in vegetables, dal, salads and desserts. They're cooked with rice to give it a minty aroma and a whole lot of depth. Gorgeous red coloured carrots flood the market and are quickly bagged by those who enjoy seasonal cooking. It is an excellent vegetable eaten in salads or added to other vegetables and cooked. Spring onions, also known as scallions, green onions, salad onions or green shallots which is an immature onion with a white base and long green leaves. Spring onions are white onions harvested at a young age. They belong to the family of garlic, leeks, shallots and chives. Spring onion or Scallions generally eaten whole as salad. They can be used raw, cooked and is often used in Asian cooking. It is widely used in the southern part of India. In the Karnataka it is used extensively in snacks, salads, curries, rice varieties and chutneys. In Kerala it is used in Sambar (a tamarind-flavoured lentil soup) and different types of kuzhambu (curry). Spring onion is used in many dishes. Cabbage belongs to the brassica family and is a kin to vegetables like cauliflower, brussel sprouts and broccoli. Green beans are often steamed, boiled, stir-fried, or baked in casseroles.  French beans generally grow as a bush, which grows twelve to twenty inches tall depending upon the variety you decide to grow.
