Celery is rich in vitamin C and it is used in weight-loss diets, where it provides low-calorie dietary fiber. Celery soup is also called as weight loss soup or healthy soup.

Rasam is usually made from tomatoes and spices like pepper powder etc. The flavor of rasam is spicy, sour and yummy. Rasam can be made with Rasam powder which includes approximately a similar spice as Sambhar powder, slightly extra coriander powder. CELERY SOUP- RASAM

Ingredients used in CELERY SOUP- RASAM
• Garlic - 4 clove.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Onion(slices) - 1/4 cup.
• Carrots(slices) - 1/4 cup.
• Celery stem(chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Celery leaf(chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Tomato - 1 no.
• Pepper powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Chicken stock - 1.5 cup.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 2 teaspoons.
Method:
  • Crush garlic with a pestle.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add crushed garlic and saute it, later add onion, carrots slightly saute it.
  • Add chopped celery stem, celery leaf, salt and saute it for 1 minute.
  • Add tomato, pepper powder and saute it.
  • Add chicken stock and boil it, check for seasoning.
  • At last, add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.

Now Celery soup or rasam is ready to serve.
