Ingredients used in Bharvan bhindi
• Okra /bhindi - 250 grams.
• Onions ( sliced) - half cup.
• Gram flour /besan/ chickpea flour - 1 ½ tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
• Lime - half tea spoon.
• Amchur powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Sambhar powder - 4 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
• Chili powder - half tea spoon.
Method:
  • Cut the head of tender okra and slit open okra halfway through.

  • In a bowl, add sambar powder, amchur powder, besan, salt, lime juice, water (as required) , make it to a thick paste.

  • Now, stuff the okra with above prepared masala mixture and arrange it on a pan to fry it.

  • Then cook it by adding 1 tablespoon of oil to the above pan and drip atleast 2-3 drops of water in regular intervals so that they doesnt get burnt.

  • At last, add sliced onion, chopped coriander leaves, salt, chili powder and let it cook for about 5 minutes.

Delicious Bharwan bhindi is now ready to serve.

You can also add peanut powder with chilli powder..also u can make filling from paste of fried dry coconut and onion with masalas..its marathi way of doing this and its yummyyyy..this is also nice recipe..thanxs!!!

This is an easy way of making bharvan bhendi...... instead of any amchur i used MTR sambhar paste which already had taste of sourness and salt, all i had to put is just besan and fill it in bhendi.
