Chilli Tofu Paneer is one of the most popular Indo-Chinese dishes in India. Tofu is an easy substitute for paneer cheese. This is a spicy, saucy blend of Indian spices and Chinese condiments, and the star, of course, is the paneer, an Indian cottage cheese that’s usually sold in blocks, just like tofu. This recipe is not so absurdly spicy, but feel free to add more spices… if that’s your thing.
Paneer is widely used and very popular in Punjab due to the abundance of milk and milk products in the area. If you're buying paneer from the market, you will find two varieties - hard and soft. Though the soft one is preferred by many, one must remember soft cottage cheese stays fresh for a lesser duration as compared to the hard one. Soft cottage cheese is great for salads while the hard one can be used to make snacks or in curries. Some of the dishes made with panner are Kadai Paneer, Palak Paneer, Paneer Paratha, Paneer Egg Rolls, Paneer Pasanda, Paneer Bhurji……
Tofu, also called bean curd, has gained popularity over the years especially as a vegetarian- and vegan-approved source of protein. The process of making tofu is relatively similar to the way that cheese is made from milk. Tofu nutrition is impressive, and that’s why many people assume it’s such a great health food.
The bell pepper is a cultivar group of the species Capsicum annuum. Cultivars of the plant produce fruits in different colors, including red, yellow, orange, green, chocolate/brown, vanilla/white, and purple. Bell peppers are sometimes grouped with less pungent pepper varieties as "sweet peppers". The ribs and seeds inside bell peppers may be consumed, but some people find the taste to be bitter. Most of the differences in bell pepper color stem from time of harvest and degree of ripening. Some of the capsicum dishes are Capsicum Sada Masala, Capsicum And Brinjal In Hara Masala, Mushroom And Bell Pepper Fried Rice, Capsicum And Coconut Curry, Capsicum Chutney many more..
