Ingredients used in Vagareli Kichidi
• Cinnamon stick (1 inch) - 3 numbers.
• Cloves - 10 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chilly powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Toor daal - 3/4 cup.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Rice - 1 cup.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks, cloves, curry leaves, add rice and toor daal, salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder mix all of this, add water cook this till it gets kichidi consistency, after cooking, kichidi is ready.

we (Indians) don't do that usually.... We separate them while eating it. Same goes for chilies, curry leaves etc. But you can do it if you want.
