In continuation of my precious feature on some of my favorite Indian vegetarian snacks, here I shall enlighten you all with some of my very favorite and popular Kebab recipes. They are the very popular, exotic and traditional entrée that can be served as snack or appetizer. Kebabs are the ideal hors d’oeuvres for any special dinner party and will also delight your taste buds as they are simply divine, mouth-melting and super delicious to the palate.
Kebabs are known to have originated in the Middle East and are the most popular grills served as appetizers or used to stuff in wrap away foods that is easy to carry and eat. Kebab refers to meat which is cooked over or next to flame, they are either large or small cuts of meal or even minced meat, mixed with ethnic aromatic spices, fresh herbs mixed together and grilled or roasted or fried. Traditionally, lamb meat is used for preparing kebabs, but depending on local tastes and religious prohibitions, other meats like beef, goat, chicken, pork or fish is used.
It is also popular among Western youth as a snack after a night-out. Indian kebabs are more or less similar to most other kebab preparations along with their distinctive taste which can be credited to the native aromatic spices in Indian subcontinent. Kebabs are skewered meats and vegetables cooked over a hot flame, whether on a grill or under a broiler in the oven. Kebabs are typically served over a bed of rice, or pita bread and veggies. They can be served on or off the skewer. Kebabs are popular and often served as appetizer or snack.
They are small chunks of meat, vegetables or fruits threaded on skewers and barbecued over open fire. These mouth melting meat or vegetable grilled skewer dishes are liked by one and all and are sure to satisfy any palate. Shikampuri Kabab The Exotic famous Shikampuri Kebab which means ‘belly-full’ referring to the stuffing in the centre of the kebab is made out of boneless pieces of mutton leg.

Chicken Sheek Kabab Kabab made with chicken mince, Seekh kabab or kebab are made of any type of minced meat with spices and grilled on skewers.
Cheese Chicken Kebab with Pesto Pesto chicken kabab is a very rich in taste pesto (basil) is equal to Indian tulsi in flavour. This combination is very good as marinating the chicken fillet with this pesto and cooked in oven will result in mouth-watering dish.

Dahi Kabab Enjoy this tempting crispy dahi kebab recipe with sauce of your choice as starter or snack. The kebab is created with a mixture made from boiled potatoes, spices and greens like spinach. This kebab mix is then filled with a curd and badam stuffing and then deep fried till golden brown. A delicious healthy and protein rich snack item to be served with green chutneys.

Phaldhari kabab veg sheek Kabab Vegetable seekh kebab is an interesting mix of raw banana, assortment of vegetables and spices well kneaded and can be either deep fried or shallow fried or put on skewers, which is easily made at home.
Paan Kabab Paan Kabab is an exotic and innovation of cooking, marinated chicken with paan leaf (betal leaf) cooked well to extract the paan leaf flavours into the chicken. Pann leaf is normally used in making pans in India because it aids digestion.
