Bottle gourd Soya Nuggets

Ingredients used in Bottle gourd Soya Nuggets
• Soya granules(soaked in water) - 1 cup.
• Bottle gourd(grated) - ½ cup.
• Potato(boiled and grated) - 1 cup.
• Green chillies(finely chopped) - 2-3 numbers.
• Onion(finely chopped) - 1 number.
• Coriander leaves(finely chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Mint leaves( finely chopped) - 1 tablespoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
• Chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1 pinch.
• Salt - to taste.
• All-purpose flour - 1 tablespoon.
• Water - 1/4 cup.
• Bread crumbs - 2 tablespoons.
• Oil - 2 teaspoons.
Method:
  • In a mixing bowl, add soya granula (soaked in water for a while and then drain off the water), grated bottle gourd (lauki), boiled and grated potato, green chillies, onions, coriander leaves, mint leaves, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala and salt to taste.
  • Add little bread crumb if you feel the mixture is too moist.
  • Mix all the ingredients well and Shape them into nugget size.
  • Make a thin batter with all-purpose flour and water.
  • Dip the nuggets in the flour batter and then roll over the bread crumbs coating them well and keep aside.
  • Preheat the Philips air fryer at 180 degrees for 3 minutes.
  • Drop the nuggets in the tray and air fry first for about 3-4 minutes at 180 degrees C.
  • Remove and blast them with very little oil and again re-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove and serve them hot with any sauce of your choice.

Ingredients:

 

 Soya granules, soaked in water               –      1 cup

Bottle gourd, grated                                  -       2 tbsp

Potato, boiled & grated                             –      1 cup

Green chillies, finely chopped                 -       ½ tsp

Onion, finely chopped                              -       1 no

Coriander leaves, finely chopped            -       1 tbsp

Mint leaves, finely chopped                      -       ½  tbsp

Turmeric                                                      -       pinch

Chilli pd                                                       -       1 tsp

Coriander pd                                              -       ½ tsp

Cumin pd                                                    -       ¼ tsp

Garam masala                                            -       pinch

Salt                                                               -       to taste

All-purpose flour                                      -       1 tbsp

Water                                                           -       as required

Bread crumbs                                             -       2 tbsp

 

 Directions:

 

  1. In a mixing bowl, add soya granula (soaked in water for a while and then drain off the water), grated bottle gourd (lauki), boiled and grated potato, green chillies, onions, coriander leaves, mint leaves, turmeric, chilli pd, coriander pd, cumin pd, garam masala pd and salt to taste.

chick pea flour is more healthy then all purpose so we can subsitute?
