Ingredients used in Nalla Karam
• Dry red chilies - 50 grams.
• Coriander seeds - 50 grams.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Garlic flakes - 2 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Tamarind - small.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, fry the red chilies for a minute. Remove and keep aside.
  • In the remaining oil, fry coriander seeds, cumin seeds and blend with red chilies until smooth.
  • Add salt, tamarind, garlic and blend to a smooth powder. This powder can be used in curries.
