Ingredients used in Bitter Gourd Masala Vadas
• Fennel seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cinnamon stick (1 inch) - 2 number.
• Dry red chilies - 3 number.
• Chana dal (soaked) - 1 cup.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 2 number.
• Bitter gourd (grated) - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Water (hot) - as required.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Grind fennel seeds, cinnamon stick, dry red chilies to a fine powder, transfer to a bowl and keep aside.
  • Take soaked chana dal in a blender, grind to a coarse powder and transfer to the same bowl with earlier prepared powder, also addfinely chopped coriander leaves, green chilies, salt and mix well.
  • Transfer the grated bitter gourd into the bowl with hot water, add salt, soak for about 10 to 15 minutes, strain it, transfer to the bowl with chana dal mixture and mix well.
  • Now take small portions of the prepared mixture,shape them into vadas, deep fry in hot oil and transfer to the serving plate.

Hot and Crispy Bitter Gourd Masala Vadas are now ready to serve.
