Ingredients used in Kerala Mutton Curry
• Coriander leaves - 50 grams.
• Salt - to taste.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Pepper powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Kashmeeri chilly powder - 3 teaspoons.
• Coconut oil - 100 grams.
• Garam masala - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger - 10 grams.
• Shallots - 250 grams.
• Garlic - 10 grams.
• Mutton - 1 kg.
• Water - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Heat the 15grams of oil in a pressure cooker add ginger garlic crushed, Once they turn light brown add shallots crushed.
  • Once shallots turn brown add turmeric powder, pepper powder and mutton and mix the mutton nicely, add salt and water and cook for one whistle.
  • In a pan, Heat the remaining oil.
  • Once the oil gets heated, Lower the flame and add ginger garlic crushed.
  • Add chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and the cooked meat.
  • Finally garnish with coriander leaves and bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
