Amrood Ki Chutney is a traditional dish from the Indian cuisine prepare from a classic fresh guava Fatta fat chutney Guava pickle is one of the traditional accompaniments from the Indian cuisine that is prepared with fresh raw guava. This pickle is easy and quick to prepare with just some handful of ingredients. The guava pickle has an amalgamation of luscious flavors that includes sweet, tangy, spicy together making the guava unique to taste. This can be eaten with any type of flat Indian breads etc.
Guava pickle or chutney is easy to prepare, time saving and nutritious with lots of fibers. Guava is a very popular fruit and used in many a variety of recipes such as guava jam, guava tart or guava cheese (a chewy fudge-like sweet, is best made with fresh guavas). They are a rich source of vitamin C. The ripe fruit is a common ingredient added to pies, punch, jellies, pudding, marmalade, sauce and jam. Often slices of ripe guava fruit is sprinkled with little salt and chilli powder and eaten by itself. It tastes more like a fruit chaat, simple but very luscious to taste.

The guava chutney/ pickle can be stored for a week or two in the refrigerator. Spices like fenugreek pd, mustard pd, red chilli pd and hing combines well with guava pieces and lemon juice is added so that when they get soaked for couple of hours, the guava pieces gives a pleasant tangy zest on bite. Guava is a tropical fruit easily available in the markets.
It is an inexpensive fruit highly rich in nutrients. It is one of the richest sources of vitamin C. You can eat guava anytime before or after snack as it is light, have lot of fiber and contribute in balancing the electrolyte in body. I tried this recipe and it turned out really nice. Just if you add a lil sugar u will get a nice tangy flavor.?
