GREEN COCONUT PAYA

Ingredients used in GREEN COCONUT PAYA
• Oil - 5-6 tablespoons.
• Mint leaves - 1/2 bunch.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch.
• Green chillies - 3-4 numbers.
• Poppy seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Fresh coconut(grated) - 1 cup.
• Fennel seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cloves - 3 numbers.
• Cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Black cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cinnamon - 1 stick.
• Onions(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Yogurt - 1 tablespoon.
• Lamb bone legs - 250-300 grams.
Method:
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pressure cooker and add mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies, poppy seeds and saute it, later transfer into blender and add salt, coconut to make a smooth paste.
  • Heat 5 tablespoon oil in same pressure cooker and add fennel seeds, cloves, cardamom, black cumin seeds, cinnamon stick and saute it.
  • To it add onions, little salt and saute it, ginger garlic paste, yogurt, green paste, lamb bone legs and saute it.
  • Place lid without whistle and pressure cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove lid and add water, place lid with whistle and pressure cook for 20-25 minutes, 4-6 whistles.
  • Remove lid and check for seasoning and add salt and water if required.
  • Atlast add chopped coriander leaves and mix nicely.

Now green coconut paya is ready to serve.
