Cluster beans moong dal curry is a delicious Indian recipe served as a side dish. Beans moong dal is a simple stir fry recipe of french beans with split yellow gram. Grated coconut is usually added to enhance the flavor of beans poriyal or sabzi in South Indian cooking. It is a great accompaniment to sambar or even rasam.

CLUSTER BEANS AND MOOG DAL CURRY

Ingredients used in CLUSTER BEANS AND MOOG DAL CURRY
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Ginger(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Moong dal - 1 cup.
• Dry red chilies - 3 numbers.
• Fennel seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Asafoetida - 2 pinch.
• Onion(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cluster beans(chopped) - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Soak the moong dal for 30 minutes.
  • Take a mixie jar and add moong dal, red chilies, fennel seeds, little salt blend it, to make coarse paste.
  • Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, ginger, onions, salt, turmeric powder, cluster beans and cook until cluster beans are soft.
  • Add moong dal paste and cook it for 5 minutes.

Atlast add coriander leaves and mix nicely.
