Ingredients used in Meeti Daal Onion Sweetened Daal
• Salt - to taste.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Green chilly - 4 numbers.
• Red chilly powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon.
• Garlic - 6 cloves.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Whole red chilly - 4 numbers.
• Masoor daal - 1 cup.
• Ghee - 4 tablespoons.
• Onion slices - 3 numbers.
Method:
Heat ghee in a pan add whole red chilly, cumin seeds, garlic, onions (thin slices), salt, add ginger garlic paste cook it for raw flavor is gone. Add green chilly, red chilly powder and add daal (masoor dal boiled by adding oil and turmeric into the pressure cooker) Add water bring it to a boil and cook for 10 minutes switch off the flame.

Hey Sanjay, I normally make this same dish using masoor daal. It's really a sweet flavored dish and nice aroma. I love to eat it with bread and really love the taste of masoor daal. Thank you for remembering this dish again, chef Sanjay Thumma.
