Ingredients used in Chinese style Colocasia
• Colocasia (boiled) - 1 cup.
• Amaranth leaves (chopped) - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Maida flour - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Ginger garlic (crushed) - 1 tablespoon.
• Soya sauce - 1 tea spoon.
• Tomato ketch up - 1 tea spoon.
• Vinegar - 1 tea spoon.
• Sugar - 1 tea spoon.
• Water - as required.
• Green chilies - 3 number.
• Capsicum (cubes) - 1 number.
• Onion (cubes) - 1 number.
• Corn flour slury - 2 tablespoon.
• Ajinomoto - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch.
• Spring onion - 1/2 bunch.
Method:
  • In a bowl add boiled colocasia and smash it.
  • Now add Amaranth leaves, salt, red chili powder, Maida flour and mix it well and make it into small balls and deep fry in hot oil and keep aside.
  • Take another pan and add oil, crushed ginger garlic, Soya sauce, Tomato ketchup, vinegar, Sugar, water, Green chilies, Capsicum, Onion, Cornflour slurry and cook it for 10 minutes.
  • Now add Ajinomoto, fried balls, Coriander leaves, Spring onion and serve it.
