Ingredients used in BANANA BLOSSOM USILI
• Chana dal(soaked) - 1/2 cup.
• Toor dal(soaked) - 1/2 cup.
• Moong dal(soaked) - 1/2 cup.
• Dry red chilies - 4 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Fennel seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Green chilies(chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Onions - 1 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Banana blossom - 1 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Lime juice - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
Take a mixie jar and add soaked chana dal, toor dal, moong dal, red chilies, curry leaves, fennel seeds and blend into coarse paste. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, onions, salt, banana blossom and saute it. To it add coarse paste, turmeric powder and saute it, later cook until it is dry and flaky. Atlast add coriander leaves and mix it. Now banana blossom usili is ready to serve.
