Ingredients used in BANANA BLOSSOM USILI
• Chana dal(soaked) - 1/2 cup.
• Toor dal(soaked) - 1/2 cup.
• Moong dal(soaked) - 1/2 cup.
• Dry red chilies - 4 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Fennel seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Green chilies(chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Onions - 1 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Banana blossom - 1 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Lime juice - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Take a mixie jar and add soaked chana dal, toor dal, moong dal, red chilies, curry leaves, fennel seeds and blend into coarse paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, onions, salt, banana blossom and saute it.
  • To it add coarse paste, turmeric powder and saute it, later cook until it is dry and flaky.
  • Atlast add coriander leaves and mix it.

Now banana blossom usili is ready to serve.
