Ingredients used in ATUKULA KHICHDI
• Flattened rice - 2 cup.
• Yellow grams - 1/2 cup.
• Pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Cumin seeds powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Ginger pieces - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Green chillies - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Palm oil - 50 grams.
• Ghee - 2 teaspoons.
• Cashew nuts - 1 tablespoons.
• Bengal gram - 1 teaspoons.
• Black gram - 1 teaspoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Dry red chillies - 2 numbers.
Method:
Boil yellow grams, then wash flattened rice and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, bengal gram, black gram, dry red chillies, cashew nuts, curry leaves and yellow grams, then mix it thoroughly. Now add flattened rice then mix it again and sprinkle water on it and add salt, pepper powder, ginger green chilli paste. Then add ghee and mix it well, then close it with a lid and switch off. After cooling, serve this dish which will be very tasty.
