Ingredients used in Uggaani
• Sugar - pinch pinch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Fried chana dal (chick pea-putnaalu) - half cup.
• Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Coriander - 2 tablespoons.
• Curry leaves - few numbers.
• Green chillies - 2 numbers.
• Onion - 1 numbers.
• Puffed rice - 2 cup.
• Jeera - 1 teaspoons.
• Oil - 3 teaspoons.
• Garlic - 2 clove.
• Turmeric - pinch pinch.
Method:
In a slotted vessel, wash puffed rice real good till the water runs clear from the bottom. Keep it aside. In a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, jeera, let them crackle. Add curry leaves, green chillies, sliced onions. Saute till they are translucent. Add turmeric. Saute for a while , now add washed puffed rice, mix well. In a blender powder fried chana and garlic together. Add this mixture to the puffed rice. Add salt, sugar and mix for a while. Now garnish with cilantro.
