Ingredients used in Tomato Chutney yummy
• Hing or asafoetide - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Oil - 1/2 cup.
• Salt to taste - .
• Red chilli pwd - 11/4 tablespoons.
• Tomatoes finely chopped - 2 cup.
• Methi pwd - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Imli or tamarind - 11/2 piece.
Method:

1. Chop the tomatoes finely in pieces. 2. Add about 2-3tbsp oil in a pan amp; put it on flame....when the oil is slightly warm add tomatoes and tamarind piece to it. Cover and cook until tomatoes are tender. 3. Do not add water. Mix it in between to avoid uneven cooking of tomatoes 4. When the tomatoes are tender add the red chilli pwd, methi pwd and salt to it. Mix it well. leave it on flame for another 10secs and remove from flame. 5. Transfer the contents into a moisture free container. 6. Now heat the remaining oil and add asafoetide to the oil when warm...when the oil is hot enough for a tadka pour it over the chutney. 7. Tomato chutney is ready to be served. Serve with plain rice...
