Ingredients used in TAWA MASALA IDLI
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Pepper corn - half tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Rice - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves - half bunch.
• Red chillies - 4-5 numbers.
• Roasted chana dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Tamarind (lemon size) - 1 small.
• Garlic cloves - 6 numbers.
• Sesame seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Butter - 2 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Idli - 4-5 numbers.
Method:
  • First, we have to make idly powder for that take urad dal, chana dal, rice, coriander seeds, pepper corns, in a hot pan and roast for a while.
  • Now add red chilies, roasted chana, tamarind, garlic cloves and mix it.
  • After that add sesame seeds and roast it till it becomes brownish.
  • Once it cools down blend and make coarse powder. In another pan add butter and idli pieces then mix it thoroughly and sprinkle the powder, salt on it then mix it properly.
  • Now add some more butter, coriander leaves and mix once again. Switch off the flame and serve hot in the breakfast.
