PUFF RICE (BORUGULU UPMA)

Ingredients used in PUFF RICE (BORUGULU UPMA)
• Mustard & cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
• Lemon - 2 teaspoons.
• Chopped tomatos - 1 cup.
• Chillies - 4 small.
• Chopped onions - 1 cup.
• Puffed rice (also called as marmaralu, borugulu) - 200 grams.
• Curry leafs - 4 leaf.
• Turmeric - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Take a big pan, heat it and add oil. Put mustard cumin seeds, Add onions and fry till it turns brownish color.
  • Add turmeric and Chillies( cut straight) and fry Add tomato chops, salt and fry till tomato becomes soft.
  • Meanwhile soak puffed rice in water for 30 - 60 seconds, Put this puffed rice in the pan and mix it properly.
  • Finally add the secret ingrediant Lemon Juice to the mixture. And your Vuggani is ready.
