Ingredients used in PLAIN SOFT DOSA WITH POHA
• Rice, regular - 2 cups.
• Par-boiled rice - 1 cup.
• Urad dal - 1 cup.
• Pressed rice - 1/4 cup.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Oil - 1-2 tablespoon.
• Salt - to taste.
  • Soak rice, parboiled rice or idli rice, urad dal, pressed rice, fenugreek seeds in water for about 4 hours, drain the water and blend to a fine paste. Keep this batter in a warm place to ferment for 12 hours and then use to make the dosa.
  • Add a little salt and mix well. For making the soft dosa, take a spoon full of batter and pour it on the hot tawa and evenly in circular motion to make a slightly thick dosa. Drizzle a little oil on the edges of the dosa and just cook for a minute.Fold the dosa, remove and serve it hot.
