Method:

Cut bitter gourd into small round pieces and add a little salt and keep it aside. Grind grated coconut, half of the whole mustard seed, cumin powder and green(half a small one) chiili to a nice paste( jus like we grind it for chutney). Mix this with yogurt and keep it aside. Make sure there are no lumps in the coconut-yogurt paste. Grind the yogurt if needed. Now take the cut bitter gourd and fry them in oil. Make sure that the bitter gourd is crispy and almost black in color. Make sure not to burn the bitter gourd. Put this fried pavakka into the coconut yogurt paste. Take a little oil in a pan and add mustard seeds when the oil is hot and wait till it splutter. Add whole red chilli and curry leaves. Add this into the above mixture( the bittergourd mixed in yogurt paste) Finally cut the green chillies into small thin pieces and add it to the above mixture for garnishing. Check salt and serve.
