Ingredients used in Noodles Kalasa Kura
• Chana dal (soaked) - 1 cup.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry red chillies - 3 number.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Onions (chopped) - 1 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 1 number.
• Fried noodles - 70 grams.
• Potatoes (boiled and mashed) - 1 number.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
• Oil - as required.
• Any choice of boiled veggies (chopped) - 1/2 cup.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dry red chillies, urad dal, curry leaves, and saute it till they splutter.
  • Then add chopped onions, salt and cook it by stirring occasionally.
  • In the same pan, add soaked chana dal, along with acup of water and red chilli powder, cook it for about 15 minutes with closed lid.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, fried noodles, boiled and mashed potatoes, any choice of boiled veggies (for healtheir version) and cook it for about 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Finally, add chopped coriander leaves and give it a mix.


Delicious Noodles Kalasa Kura is now ready to serve.
