Ingredients used in Mitai Walas Onion Pakora
• Curry leaves - 5 numbers.
• Cooking soda - pinch.
• Whole dhania (coarsely blended or whole) - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Chili powder(depending on spicy level ) - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Cumin powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Garam masala powder(optional) - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Dhania powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoons.
• Green chilies - 2 piece.
• Onion (long thin slices) - 1 large.
• Cilantro(chopped) - 1 tablespoons.
• Besan(gram flour ) - 1 cup.
• Rice flour - 1/2 cup.
• Oil for frying - .
Method:
Slice Onions thin (long slices)And add salt and set aside for 15 mins(or check occasionally if water released from onions,donot let it soak more ).Once onion is releasing its water add rest of the ingredients(donot add any water ) and mix well .Heat Oil in kadai and throw little little lumps into the oil and deep fry .Flame has to be on medium high to high for crispyness.Remove when the fritters are medium red in color .Serve Hot or cold .It also stays for one week in air tight container.
