Ingredients used in Masala Chicken
• Poppy seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Fresh coconut pieces - 1 cup.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Tomato puree - 1/2 cup.
• Garam masala powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Water - as required.
• Chicken - 500 grams.
• Coconut milk - 1 cup.
• Pepper powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
Method:
Dry roast poppy seeds, then grind it by adding salt, coriander powder. Later even add chopped fresh coconut pieces to grind it again to a fine paste. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, saute it onions are slightly transparent. Then add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, earlier ground masala paste, cook it. When finally oil oozes, put curry leaves, tomato puree, garam masala powder, along with some water, let it cook for few more minutes. To it, cook it again by adding chicken for 15-20 minutes. Again, put coconut milk and mix it well. At last, sprinkle pepper powder, chopped coriander and mint leaves, mix and serve it hot.
