Ingredients used in Kolhapuri Mutton
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic - 8 cloves.
• Ginger - 1 piece.
• Cloves - 5 numbers.
• Cinnamon sticks - 2or3 numbers.
• Black peppers - 2 teaspoons.
• Red chilies - 5 numbers.
• Green chilies - 5/6 numbers.
• Dessicated coconut - 1/2 cup.
• Lamb - 1000 grams.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Caraway seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
• Coconut milk - 1 tablespoon.
• Lemon juice - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Grind ginger, garlic and green chilies.
  • Roast dessicated coconut till brown grind coarsely and keep aside.
  • Fry the spices in oil and grind to a coarse paste. Clean mutton, and add spice paste and green chili paste to it marinate for 2 hours.
  • Heat oil add mutton and let it cook on a slow flame.
  • When thoroughly cooked, add coconut and lemon juice, salt.

Serve hot.

Please correct the amount of garlic. I can see that it could be one Garlic, but not one pound garlic. Thanks,
