Ingredients used in Kandi Podi
• Kandi pappu/ toor dal - 1 cup.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Pepper - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Dry red chillies - 5-6 numbers.
• Tamarind - 3-4 piece.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Heat pan, add toordal, urad dal, coriander seeds, peppercorns, cumin seeds and dry roast it. Transfer into mixie jar.
  • In the same pan, add dry red chilies, tamarind roastseparately. Switch off the flame.
  • Transfer into the same blender, add salt and blend into a coarse powder.

Now Kandi Podi is ready to serve with Idly and dosa.

Mam unique recipe,will definitely try this! u added raw strawberry mixer in it...rite did the payasam gives the raw favour of the berry?can store this in fridge.?.the color will change or no. thanks mam?
