Ingredients used in KALLU COMPOUND CHICKEN
• Salt - to taste.
• Chilly powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Jeera powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1 tea spoon.
• Onion (chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Garlic (chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Chicken - 500 grams.
• Coriandar (chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Toddy - 1 cup.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Ginger (chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Clean chicken,cut into small size pieces.
  • In a hot pan pour some oil, add finely chopped onions, salt, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, green chilies, and curry leaves, cook it for some time.
  • Now add chicken pieces, sprinkle red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and add garam masala powder, cover the lid, cook it for 10 minutes on a slow flame.
  • After 10 minutes turn the chicken upside down and cover the lid cook it for another 10 minutes on a slow flame.
  • Now add toddy, saute for some more time stirring occasionally till the chicken pieces are cooked.
  • Finish it off with finely chopped coriander.
