Ingredients used in KALLU COMPOUND CHICKEN
• Salt - to taste.
• Chilly powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Jeera powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1 tea spoon.
• Onion (chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Garlic (chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Chicken - 500 grams.
• Coriandar (chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Toddy - 1 cup.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Ginger (chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
Clean chicken,cut into small size pieces. In a hot pan pour some oil, add finely chopped onions, salt, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, green chilies, and curry leaves, cook it for some time. Now add chicken pieces, sprinkle red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and add garam masala powder, cover the lid, cook it for 10 minutes on a slow flame. After 10 minutes turn the chicken upside down and cover the lid cook it for another 10 minutes on a slow flame. Now add toddy, saute for some more time stirring occasionally till the chicken pieces are cooked. Finish it off with finely chopped coriander.
