Ingredients used in kalan melagu
• Mushrooms - 500 grams.
• Onions - 100 grams.
• Ginger/garlic paste - 30 grams.
• Tomatoes - 80 grams.
• Turmeric powder - 5 grams.
• Chilli powder - 20 grams.
• Coriander powder - 30 grams.
• Peppercorns - 50 grams.
• Salt - to taste.
• Refined oil - 20 ml.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions and saute, then add ginger /garlic paste.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook well then add turmeric coriander and chilli powder.
  • Add blanched mushrooms to the masala and cook well, then add crushed peppercorns, check for salt and finish with chopped coriander leaves.
