Ingredients used in Easy Chicken Biryani |
• Chicken - 500 grams. |
• Rice - 2 cups. |
• Red chili powder - 2 tablespoons. |
• Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon. |
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon. |
• Garam masala powder - 1 tea spoon. |
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon. |
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon. |
• Salt - to taste. |
• Curd - 1 cup. |
• Bay leaf - 2 numbers. |
• Mace - 1 number. |
• Cinnamon stick - 2 sticks. |
• Pepper corns - 1 tea spoon. |
• Cardamom - 3 numbers. |
• Sahi jeera - 1/2 tea spoon. |
• Oil - 5 teaspoons. |
• Fried onions - 1/2 cup. |
• Mint leaves - 1/2 bunch. |
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch. |
• Saffron water - 1 tea spoon. |
• Ghee - 1 tablespoon. |
• Cloves - 4 numbers. |
• Biryani phool - 1 piece. |
• Marathi moggu - 1 number. |
Method: |
- In a bowl add chicken, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, salt mix it and put it in a refrigerator for 4 hours.
- After 4 hours take out the chicken from refrigerator, now add 3 teaspoons oil mix it and put it in a biryani bowl.
- In the same bowl add curd, salt, bay leaf, mace, peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon stick, cardamom, biryani phool, marathimoggu, black cumin seeds, water, mix and pour it into a top of the chicken.
- To it now even add fried onions, mint, coriander leaves.
- Boil water, in this add salt, oil, soaked rice and cook it till 85 %.
- When rice is 85 % done, strain the rice and put it on top of the chicken bowl on the top add saffron water, fried onions, ghee, mint leaves, coriander leaves.
- Seal the lid with wheat dough and cover it. Let it cook for 30 minutes in the dum process.
Serve it hot
