Ingredients used in DAL SOUP
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Moong dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Toor dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Horse gram - 1 tea spoon.
• Rice - 1 tea spoon.
• Pepper - half tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - half tea spoon.
• Cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Cloves - 3-4 numbers.
• Cheese/cream - 2 teaspoons.
Method:
  • Dry roast urad dal, toor dal, moong dal, chana dal, horse gram, rice, pepper, cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves in a nonstick cooker on a very slow flame for 5minutes.
  • Now add enough water to cook these and add salt. Cook this for 8-10 whistles.
  • Once you get the whistles just switch off the flame and transfer it into a blender to make a fine paste.
  • Dilute it with some water and simmer it on flame for 1-2 minutes.
  • Check the consistency and salt then switch off the flame.
  • Take it in a soup bowl and add cheese or fresh cream as per your taste and enjoy hot.
