Ingredients used in Dal Maharani
• Tomatoes chopped - 1 cup.
• Chilly powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Ginger slices - 1 piece.
• Salt - to taste.
• Onion chopped - 1/2 cup.
• Bay leaves - 2 numbers.
• Red chilly - 3 numbers.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Black gram daal - 1 cup.
• Rajma - 1 cup.
• Chana daal - 1 cup.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Kasoori methi - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1 tea spoon.
• Butter - 2 tablespoons.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic slices - 5 numbers.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan add red chilly, cumin seeds, bay leaves, chopped onions, salt, cook this onion is until golden color, add slices of garlic and ginger, chili powder, tomatoes, coriander powder, cumin powder, cook this till tomatoes are tender.
  • Add Kasuri methi, garam masala, rajma, black gram dal (soak over night) chana dal boil all the three dals in a pressure cooker for 7 to 8 vessels, add some water, melted white butter cook for some time and serve this with rice.
