Ingredients used in CHOCO CHIP SPONGE CAKE
• Butter softened - 100 grams.
• Choco chip/or dark chocolate bits - 1/4 cup.
• Cocoa powder - 1/4 cup.
• Baking powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Powdered sugar/castor sugar - 2 cup.
• Refined flour/maida - 2 cup.
• Vanilla essence - 1 1/2 teaspoons.
• Milk at room temperature - 1/2 cup.
• Eggs- beaten well - 3 .
Method:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degree centigrade/ or on gas mark 4.Grease a tin with lining of butter and flour by patting it out. 2. sift flour, powdered sugar, baking powder and cocoa powder into a bowl and keep aside. Add the butter, vanilla essence and half portion of the milk and mix well using a blender or electric mixer in circular motion for 2-3 mins on medium speed scraping the sides of the bowl now and then. 3. Now add the remaining milk and the beaten eggs little at a time beat for another 2-3 mins. mix in the choco chips. 4. Pour into the prepared tin and bake for 45mins or till done.
