Ingredients used in Celery Sambar
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry red chilies - 4 number.
• Oil - as required.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 3 number.
• Onion (slices) - 1 number.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Garlic ( crushed ) - 1 tea spoon.
• Hing - pinch.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Tamarind juice - 1 cup.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 1 number.
• Celery sticks (chopped ) - 1 cup.
• Celery leaves (chopped ) - 1 cup.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Sambar powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Dal (boiled ) - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Firstly, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, dry red chilies, fenugreek seeds, green chilies, saute it.
  • Then even add onion slices, curry leaves, crushed garlic, hing, turmeric powder, saute it well.
  • Now to it add tamarind juice, chopped tomatoes, chopped celery sticks, let it boil for sometime.
  • After celery is perfectly cooked, add chopped celery leaves, red chili powder, sambar powder, boiled dal and cook for 2-3 more minutes with closed lid.

DeliciousCelery Sambar is now ready to serve.
