BITTER GOURD CURRY ( PAVAKAI KULUMBU )

Ingredients used in BITTER GOURD CURRY ( PAVAKAI KULUMBU )
• Chilli powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Green chilli - 2-3 numbers.
• Onion - 1 number.
• Tumeric powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Tamarind - 4-5 piece.
• Bittergourd - 2 numbers.
• Garlic - 5-6 cloves.
• Jaggery - half cup.
• Water - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Soak tamarind in water 15minutes and make watery. or else keep it in microwave for 2 minutes and squeeze it to make watery.
  • Cut the bittergourd ,onion,green chilli,garlic in to small pieces .
  • Take a pressure cooker and add onion,grren chilli,garlic,bittergourd,tamarind juice which we squeezed,tumeric powder,chilli powder,jaggery ,salt,and add water and cook it.
  • Leave it for two or three whistles. open it and serve it hot with white rice or curd rice.
