• Cardamom - 1 tablespoons.

• Milk - 1 bottle.
• Sugar - 300 grams.
• Pressed rice or aval(white colour) - 500 grams.
• Cashew nut - 10 numbers.
• Raisins - 10 numbers.
Method:

First grind 1 cup of pressed rice and keep it aside. Then put a pan on the stove and add half cup ghee , then put 500gms of aval onto it and stir. When it get roasted add 300 gms of sugar and mix. Now add 1 litre milk and boil it for 7 mins. Add more milk if needed because the pressed rice always absorbs the milk. Then add the powdered rice onto it and mix well. After that you can add cardamom powder which gives a sweet smell. Off the stove. On another pan fry the cashews and raisins in ghee and garnish the sweet with the fried ones. Aval payasam is ready.
