Ingredients used in Aratikaya Poriyal
• Raw banana (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry red chilies - 3 numbers.
• Chana dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Grated coconut - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Boil water in a pan, add turmeric powder, salt, chopped raw banana pieces and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, dry red chilies, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, chopped onions, sauté for about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Then add boiled raw banana pieces, salt, grated coconut and mix well.

Delicious Raw Banana Poriyal is now ready to serve.
