Ingredients used in Arati puvvu vada (Banana flower)
• Turmeric powder - 1 tablespoons.
• Chopped onion - 2 numbers.
• Garlic - 5 numbers.
• Souf - 1 tablespoons.
• Red chilly - 3 or 4 numbers.
• Chana dal - 1.5 cup.
• Arati puvvu - 1 numbers.
• Coriander leaves - 1 cup.
• Curd - 2 tablespoons.
• Salt - 1 to taste.
• Oil - 1 to fry.
Method:
Step 1. Peel the arati poo stem and transparent shell-like in structure. chop them into fine small pieces and wash them. In a vessel pour 2 cup water add chopped poo, little turmeric powder and 2 tsp curd into it. set for about 3 hrs. Step2. Soak chana dal for an hour. After one hr Grind coarsely the chana dal with sombu, garlic and red chilly. Add salt as per taste. Step3. Boil the chopped poo with water for about 8-10 mins. Filter the water out. Take the boiled poo in vessel and smash it with hand (so that small stems comes out). Add coarsely grinded chana dal, chopped onion, chopped coriander and mix it well. Add water if needed. Step4. Set them into round balls and press gently to fry them in oil until it turns golden brown. Vada Ready
