Tamarind Upma & Kadmid Bajji

Ingredients used in Tamarind Upma & Kadmid Bajji
• Banana pepper - 8 number.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Peanuts (crushed) - 1 tea spoon.
• Sesame seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Semolina flour - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
• Tamarind juice - 1 cup.
• Chickpea flour - 1 cup.
• Ajwain - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, crushed peanuts, sesame seeds, turmeric powder and saute it.
  • Once it is fired, add semolina flour and cook it well.
  • Then season it with red chili powder, salt along with some water and tamarind juice and let it cook.
  • When the mixture thickens, keep aside to cool it.
  • Prepare a thin batter with chickpea flour, red chili powder, ajwain, salt, along with water.
  • Slit green chilies and remove the inner seeds.
  • Later stuff it with the earlier prepared upma mixture, then dip in batter and deep fry in hot oil.

Delicious Tamarind Upma Kadmid Bajji is now ready to serve.
