Ingredients used in Chinese style fried rice with peas
• Basmati rice - 1 cup.
• Water - as required.
• Oil - as required.
• Ginger - 1 small.
• Garlic - 6 cloves.
• Green peas - 1/2 cup.
• Spring onion (chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
• Chili flakes - 1 tea spoon.
• Sugar - 1 tea spoon.
• Soya sauce - 1 tea spoon.
• Tomato ketchup - 1 tea spoon.
• Gingelly seeds ( sesame seeds) - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
In a pan add water, basmati rice and cook it. Take a pan add oil, ginger, garlic, green peas, spring onion, salt, chili flakes, sugar, soya sauce, tomato ketch up and saute it well. Add cooked rice, spring onion and put on lid and cook it. Serve it and top it up with fried sesame seeds.
