Ingredients used in Simple Mutton Curry
• Whole garam masla - 2 tablespoons.
• Water - as required.
• Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Red chilli powder - 3 teaspoons.
• Ginger garlic paste - 2 tablespoons.
• Tomatoes - 3 numbers.
• Big onion - 1 number.
• Fresh baby goat - 2 pound.
• Coconut powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Kaju powder - 3 tablespoons.
• Cilantro - 1 bunch.
• Oil - 3 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Take a heavy bottomed Cooker and Pour oil in it.
  • When the oil is heated add the finely chopped onions.
  • Add a pinch of salt so that the onion will get cooked quickly(Golden Brown).
  • Add finely diced tomatoes and let it cook completely with onion.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the cleaned baby goat to this mixture and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the red chili powder, salt, coriander powder and mix well.
  • Add some water and cover the cooker with a lid and keep it on a medium flame.
  • If the mutton is tender it will take around 6 whistles if not more.
  • Check if the mutton is totally cooked.
  • Add some whole garam masala with kaju powder and coconut powder and mix the curry well.
  • Add some water if required and let the curry cook with all masalas for about 3-5 minutes in a low flame.

Garnish the curry with Cilantro and serve hot with Plane Rice.

Great great recipe. We are all a huge fan of Goat curry as that's what we ate from childhood. But this recipe helped me introduce Goat to my Autralian mates and they all loved this to death. This may even help Goat meat become popular in Aus.
