Ingredients used in Rice Flour Upma
• Green chilies (chopped) - 3 numbers.
• Ginger (chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Cashew nuts - 15 grams.
• Urad daal - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Red chilies - 4 numbers.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Rice flour - 1 cup.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Onions - 2 numbers.
• Salt - to taste.
• Butter milk - 2 cups.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, red chilly, cumin seeds, Urad daal, add cashew nuts, chopped ginger, chopped green chilly, curry leaves, onions, salt, cook till onions are brown in color.
  • Take a bowl add rice flour, buttermilk, salt mix it like a dosa batter, pour the batter into the onions pan and mix it well.

Serve this hot with curd chilly.

I used the puttu podi flour for rice flour and that was not good. I think the rice flour was roasted in the pack. Please advise if I have to use the rice flour without roasting? thanks.?
