Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Ingredients used in Pineapple Upside Down Cake
• Eggs - 3 numbers.
• All purpose flour - 100 grams.
• Sugar powder - 100 grams.
• Butter - 100 grams.
• Pine apple slices - 7 numbers.
• Cherrys - 7 numbers.
• Pineapple essence - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Brown sugar - 80 grams.
• Baking powder - 1 pinch.
Method:
  • Take butter add into the kitchen planetary machine and add sugar powder, cream it.
  • Add beaten egg little by little, add pineapple essence, all purpose flour mixture (baking powder and all purpose flour) add into the kitchen planetary machine, mix it well.
  • Take butter papered baking tin, sprinkle the brown sugar, and place the pineapple pieces side by side,
  • Add cherry in the center of the pineapple piece, pour the mixture into the tin
  • Bake them at 180 c for 20 minutes, after bake it demould upside down.

With respect to Chef, I would add pure vanilla to the batter instead of pineapple essence. It isn't pineapple at all but stuff like amyl acetate and amyl butyrate. At least pure vanilla is a natural flavor derived from vanilla beans.

Also you can use peaches instead of pineapple for peach upside down cake. Upside down cakes were very popular in US at one time, then sadly went out of fashion but YAY they are now making a comeback! Peach upside down is probably my all time fav cak

Ps-I get better results by mixing the butter & brown sugar together first & then using a spatula to spread it like icing. This ensures that topping is spread evenly. I know what desert we are having this weekend! :-D
