Ingredients used in Onion Soup
• Yellow onions - 3 large.
• Garlic - 3 clove.
• Butter - 1/4 cup.
• Tomato juice. - 2 cup.
• Beef broth - 2 cup.
• Water - 1 cup.
• Tejano salsa - 1/2 cup.
• Grated monterrey jack cheese - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Remove the skins from the onions and slice into thin rings.
  • Peel the garlic and mince. In a large frying pan, melt butter over medium-low heat, add onions and cook for 20 minutes, stirring frequently until tender and brown.
  • Stir in tomato juice, broth, water and salsa.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.
  • Top with grated cheese before serving.
