Ingredients used in Onion Pakoda
• Onion - 1 cup.
• Gram flour besan - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Ginger finely sliced - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - as required.
• Green chillies - 2 no.
• Baking powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Oil or butter(for tempering) - 2 tablespoon.
• Rice flour - 1/4 cup.
• Cashew nuts (crushed/sliced) - 5 no.
• Jeera - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Take a bowl, add very thinly sliced onions, green chilies, ginger sliced, curry leaves, if you want to add cashew nuts soak in water for 10min and then add it to the onions, add salt and mix well.
  • In another bowl add chickpea flour, rice flour, salt, jeera, baking powder, oil, now add the onion mixture.
  • Mix well if need sprinkle water and mix well again. Heat oil and deep fry till it is golden brown.
