Ingredients used in Murg Dahi Dhania Korma
• Salt - to taste.
• Green cardamom - 4 numbers.
• Cloves - 8 numbers.
• Saffron - 1 pinch.
• Asafoetida - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Dry ginger powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Fennel powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic (chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Onion paste - 1-1/2 tea spoon.
• Brown onion paste - 1/2 cup.
• Desi ghee - 2 tablespoons.
• Water - as required.
• Chicken - 500 grams.
• Yogurt - 1 cup.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1-1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander chopped - 1 tablespoon.
• Red chili powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Boil the water in a deep pan, add the chicken and whole spices bring the water to a boil again, blanch for 2-3 minutes and keep it aside.
  • In a pan add the pure ghee, onion puree, garlic and add the slurry of mixed spice powders into it and add beaten yogurt, mix well and cook until the ghee separates from the mixture.
  • Add the chicken pieces and add just enough chicken boil water so that when the meat is tender, very little water remains.
  • Sprinkle the saffron and stir.

Serve hot, garnished with lots of coriander leaves.
