Gunpowder and ghee dosa with sago batter is a dosa variety which is enriched with ghee and gun powder as a topping.

Sago Dosa is a different variety of Dosa which is also an instant dosa. We all tend to do traditional dosa and sometimes we need a different variety of dosa and this is absolutely a yummy dosa. We can serve this delicious dosa with Mint Chutney or Coconut Chutney.

GUN POWDER AND GHEE DOSA WITH SAGO BATTER

Ingredients used in GUN POWDER AND GHEE DOSA WITH SAGO BATTER
• Rice - 2 cup.
• Sago pearls or sabudana - 1 cup.
• Urad dal - 1 cup.
• Ghee - 3 tablespoons.
• Gun powder (dry daal chutney) - 3 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
Method:
  • Soak rice, sago pearls, urad dal, separately in water for about 4 hours, drain the water and blend to a fine dosa batter. Keep this batter in a warm place to ferment (for 10 to 12 hrs).
  • Once batter gets fermented,add a little salt and mix well.
  • Take a spoon full of batter and pour it onto a hot tawa, spread evenly in the circular motion to make a thin dosa. Drizzle some ghee on the edges and center.
  • Then sprinkle some gunpowder all over the dosa and cook until crisp and golden in color.

Serve this Dosa hot with chutney.
