Ingredients used in Green Apple Pickle
• Chopped green apples - 1 cup.
• Cinnamon stick (1 inch) - 1 number.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Peanut oil - as required.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Raw tamarind pulp - 1/2 cup.
• Sugar - pinch.
• Chopped green chilies - 2 number.
• Red chilies - 3 number.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Roast cinnamon stick, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and blend to coarse powder.
  • In a pan, add peanut oil, salt, chopped green apple pieces, turmeric powder, curry leaves, red chili powder, raw tamarind pulp, sugar, green chillies, red chillies, and cook it well.
  • Then add prepared masala powder and cook it well.
  • Now, transfer to bowl and serve it with rice or roti.
